The current legislation, Legislative Decree of 19 August 2005 n ° 192, introduced the mandatory nature of the APE (Energy Performance Certificate) for new or pre-existing buildings undergoing renovation which assigns an energy class to the building object of the works. With a series of targeted interventions it is possible to improve the energy classification of houses, condominiums, apartments; the interventions must lead to an improvement in the energy balance for cooling / heating.
Among the possible interventions:
- Replacement of the heating system with a type of condensing boiler;
- External coat. We refer to the obligation to coat in case of reconstruction of plaster on a surface greater than 15% of the façade area;
- Replacement of single-glazed windows with double-glazed types, windows, French windows;
- Installation of renewable energy systems: photovoltaic, solar thermal;
- Works to improve natural cooling and heating: bioclimatic greenhouses (heating), cross ventilation (cooling).
Some of these interventions can also be carried out in single housing units in the case of multi-apartment contexts and the advantage in energy management can be validated for each apartment.
